Ethos Church
What Is Serving at ETHOS?
At ETHOS Church, serving is not simply filling a volunteer position. It is the natural response of a life that has been transformed by Jesus Christ.
Scripture teaches that the church is one body with many members, and each believer has been given gifts by the Holy Spirit for the building up of the body (Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7; Ephesians 4:11-16). Serving is how those gifts come to life within the church.
Because everything we have belongs to God, our time, abilities, and resources become acts of worship when we offer them back to Him.
Serving at ETHOS means participating in the mission of God through the local church. It is how the church functions, how people are cared for, and how the gospel moves forward in our community.
No role is small. Every act of service matters.
What Serving at ETHOS Is Like
Serving at ETHOS is relational, purposeful, and joyful.
You are not simply assigned a task. You join a team of people who love Christ and want to serve others together. Whether greeting guests, leading worship, helping with production, investing in kids or students, preparing coffee, or supporting prayer and care ministries, every team exists to help people encounter Jesus.
Our serving culture is built on three convictions:
1. We Serve Christ
Everything we do is ultimately done for the Lord (Colossians 3:23). Serving is an act of worship.
2. We Serve the Church
God designed the church to function as a body where each part contributes to the health of the whole (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
3. We Serve the Mission
Through serving, the church becomes a visible expression of the gospel to our city (Matthew 5:16).
At ETHOS, serving is not about performance or pressure. It is about faithful participation in what God is doing among His people.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10
